November Update...and AUDITIONS!

Hey there!

Broadway Off-Broadway has been busy these past few months! The club is up and running and putting together weekly Broadway numbers. So far we've had five wonderfully successful meetings.

Our weekly meetings/performances started off on October 5th 2011 with a huge turnout for the first number of the year "Master of the House" directed by Elizabeth McIelwain. The following week, October 12th 2011, our very own president Cody Zulinski directed "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. On week three, October 19th 2011, we ventured into the world of dance with director Sarah Algozino. Sarah put together an artistic rendition of "Those You've Known" from the musical Spring Awakening. We took a break on the 26th for reading week, but got right back into the swing of things on November 2nd 2011 with director Ian Huffam. Ian worked hard with the club members on the number "Something Wonderful" from The King and I. Yesterday, November 9th, Martin Glassford directed "Paradise by the Dashboard Light"  by Meatloaf... You may be surprised at how many Meatloaf fans came out of the woodwork!

Some numbers to look forward to in the future are:
November 16th 2011 - "La Vie Boheme" - Rent (directed by Alex Brunjes)
November 23rd 2011 - "Oh, What a Night" - Jersey Boys (directed by Alex Dupuis/Cody Zulinski)
November 30th 2011 - "Mama Who Bore Me (Reprise)" - Spring Awakening (directed by Christina Campo)

We are also in the works of getting our musical [Title of Show] going which means... AUDITIONS!  Auditions will be held December 1st-5:30-8:30, December 2nd 5:30-8:30 and December 3rd 11-4:00. Those looking to audition should start preparing a song from a musical, and be prepared to do a cold read of the script. People auditioning will have to sign up for a thirty minute time slot, and the sign up sheet locations will be posted soon.

Cheers!
